Start with customer facts
Review who converts, where customers are located at an appropriate geographic level, what they purchase, recorded customer value, and the campaigns associated with those outcomes.
Look for repeatable patterns
Combine customer data, permitted market signals, and audience attributes to propose better acquisition hypotheses. Correlation does not establish causation; successful customers may reflect prior targeting and unequal coverage.
Test outside the reference set
Keep a comparison group or holdout where practical. Measure future results, not only how well the new rules describe the customers used to develop them.
Return learning without losing permissions
Preserve source, opt-outs, retention decisions, and record provenance. Update segments and suppression through approved workflows rather than exposing individual customer data publicly.
