Demographics: who may fit?
Demographics describe broad audience characteristics. They can help frame a market but do not establish current purchase intent.
Interest: what may be relevant?
Interest describes topical affinity or engagement. Someone interested in a category may already own the product or simply enjoy learning about it.
Intent: what activity suggests consideration?
Buyer intent data or commercial intent data may reflect research, comparison, or other purchase-related activity. Purchase intent remains an inference unless directly expressed—and even expressed interest is not a guaranteed sale.
Demand intelligence: how can the context be used?
Connect demand signals and intent audiences with recency, geography, identity confidence, exclusions, and a permitted activation plan. Buyer-intent data can be one input into this broader strategy.
An example.
A home-service business defines its replacement offer and territory, evaluates available category research, reviews signal windows and coverage, and scopes an audience or map for a measured campaign.
Apply this to your acquisition system.
