Commercial intelligence should be useful and responsible.
A relevance hypothesis is only useful when the purpose, data, and intended activation are appropriate.
Limit the purpose and the data
Define the commercial objective before selecting inputs. Use only the fields needed for that purpose, document provenance, and distinguish observed facts from inferred relevance.
Respect sensitive-category boundaries
Do not target prohibited sensitive characteristics or infer private health, financial, or other restricted circumstances from ambiguous behavior. Educational buying-event examples are not a claim that such events are targetable.
Apply source and destination requirements
Platform restrictions still apply. The customer must confirm authority to provide first-party records, appropriate permissions for the intended channel, and suppression or consumer-choice requirements where applicable.
Keep review and choice practical
Document suppression, exclusions, access, retention, and a route for relevant data questions. Website inquiry privacy is described separately from the responsibilities of a contracted audience program. No legal guarantee is made.
