One signal is a clue. Multiple signals create context.
Confidence describes how well the available evidence supports a specific relevance hypothesis. It is not certainty that someone will purchase.

Ask what each observation supports
A research event may indicate category interest. A supporting observation may strengthen the commercial interpretation, or it may simply repeat the same source. Review independence and meaning before combining signals.
Add business context
Customer fit, useful recency, serviceable geography, and permitted activation help determine whether an observation is actionable for your offer. Missing context should reduce confidence rather than disappear from the explanation.
Keep the language proportional
Higher confidence, higher relevance, a stronger signal combination, and greater prioritization are relative judgments. They do not mean a confirmed purchaser, a guaranteed buyer, or a verified purchasing timeline.
Review against outcomes
Use appropriate customer outcomes to evaluate whether the criteria were useful. A formal probability or calibrated score would require documented validation; this page describes an explanatory framework.
